Memorial Boxing Classic

2nd Annual

The 2nd annual Ken Goff Boxing Classic took place on March 10, 1995 at the Queensbury Downs.  It featured a team made up of Western Canadian Champions who boxed against a team from Ireland.

Results:

Eugene LACUMBER, 125 lbs. from team Ireland won a split decision over Josh JOSEPH of the Calgary Boxing Club.
Steve PRESTON, 132 lbs. from team Ireland won a unanimous decision over Abbas KAMALI of the Calgary Boxing Club.
D.J. KIRNAN, 160 lbs. from team Ireland won a unanimous decision over Mike RIENDEAU of the Hortie Boxing Club in Edmonton.
Mark RIGGS, 143 lbs. of team Ireland won a unanimous decision over Jason WIELER of the Hortie Boxing Club of Edmonton.
Sammy CRAMPTON, 165 lbs. of team Ireland won a unanimous decision over Chris SHEPPARD of the Pan AM Boxing Club of Winnipeg.
Chris COVENEY, 156 lbs. of the Calgary Boxing Club won a split decision over Jerome McBRIDE of team Ireland.
Peter O'KANE, 178 lbs. of the Pan Am Boxing Club in Winnipeg won by referee stopped contest in 2nd round over Jim KENNEDY from team Ireland.
Brook WELBY, 147 lbs. of the Pan Am Boxing Club in Winnipeg won a split decision over Mark WICKHAM of team Ireland.
Larry CARR, 165 lbs. of the Regina Boxing Club won a split decision over Jim GILLAN of team Ireland.
